Why Are Restaurant Coupons So Hard To Find?

by admin on January 21st, 2010

Help! I’m Just Looking For A Restaurant Coupon!

Ok, so you’ve decided to go out for a meal. Lunch, dinner, brunch, just a meal. Times are tough and you’re looking for a great deal. Simple, you are looking for a free restaurant coupon. Something for a local restaurant or food other food establishment. You want to enjoy a good meal, some good conversation, and NOT have to do the dishes. Maybe you’re not even looking for a coupon. You just want to know what’s on special right now, with or without a coupon. You remember driving by and seeing a banner hanging on the outside of your favorite place to eat, but you can’t remember what it says. What it was for…hummm…you can’t remember. Banners and signs are great…if you happen to be driving by, OR have a great memory.

For many of us it’s human nature. We simply want the best deal we can get. In the past we could have looked in the paper or other ads that came in the mail, but now, with so much junk mail, we tend to not look at all. In certain terms, we throw the baby out with the bath water. Are there good deals that come in the mail, of course. Are they easy to find? Well maybe sometime, but for the most part, no they’re not. One good restaurant deal is buried within a mound of adds for such things as replacement windows, insurance, cable and satellite TV,  carpet cleaning etc…Not to say we don’t need those too, but hey, most of us dine out more often than we have to say, replace our windows. Well at least we hope that’s true!

Saving money is a good thing. It always has been, and it always will. You do the math. Take the number of times you eat out X $5.00. For example, if you or you and your family like to eat out twice a week that would be a savings of $520 bucks! That’s a lot of  dough! (said the pizza man). That’s if you only saved $5.00 bucks every time you ate out. There are deals out there where you can save much more than that. Think about the restaurant coupons that offer buy one get one free. Or buy one, get one at 50% off the regular price. If you eat out often, as many do, you could easily save much, much more over the course of a year.
